Jaclyn Hill x Morphe Palette.. IS IT WORTH THE MONEY?

Something that I've wanted for the longest time since it came out was the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette, so when I finally got the chance to buy it (after it being out of stock on Beauty Bay every time I checked!) I was so so excited. There are 35 shadows in the palette, which I think it very generous amount, as there's so many looks you can create. And I mean just look at it, it's seriously so beautiful to look at, with the array of bright and metallic colours. You also get a good variation of different shadows, some mattes and some glitters, and the pigmentation is seriously amazing; that isn't even over-exagerrating, so a small amount on the brush definitely goes a long way.
THE VERDICT:
As you can see from the swatches, they are super pigmented and great quality, which I think really justifies the price. My only downside to this palette is that it doesn't have a mirror, which definitely would of made the palette for me. This palette isn't really for travel either, as its very big and will most probably take up a lot of room in your suitcase, so thats another downside, however there are other great smaller palettes on the market with similar shades. Also it might bother some people that there is no shade names, however I don't really mind as for me its more about the quality of the shadows rather than the presentation of the palette. All in all I am truly head over heels in love with this palette and its been my go to palette at the minute, as it is perfect for any type of look, whether its a natural pink look or a smokey red. The shades are so creamy to touch as well and really easy to swatch, as the shadows are so so smooth, which means they blend out like a dream, and blend into any other shades you want without it looking patchy.

ROW 4 AND 5 WITH FLASH

My fave look for an everyday basis has been a gold and brown smokey eye. I first prime the lids with a bit of concealer, and then I start blending the shade 'Silk Creme' in my lid, which is the perfect transition shade for me, its like a light caramel shade. Then I deepen the crease with the shades 'Butter' and 'Pukey' (how amazing are these names tho haha!) with the Zoeva 228 Luxe Crease brush. Now I apply the star of the show, the beautiful metallic gold shade. I apply it using a flat packer brush sprayed with a little bit of setting spray, and blend it in the bottom area of the lid. Finally I highlight my inner corner and brow bone with the beautiful first and second shades of the palette called 'Enlight' and 'Beam' (I use these together as they are very similar shades, so they both compliment each other well). If I'm in the mood for more a smokey eye, I will also blend a little bit of the shades 'Butter' and 'Pukey' in my lash line. And there I have it!
Let me know if you have this palette and if so what are you're fave looks to create, I need some inspo!

  1. These look so impressive and so so pigmented! I'm with you though, for travelling especially a mirror would have been really good in this palette.

  2. I bought this as soon as it came out as I'd bought the BECCA highlighter she collab'd on and really liked it. I've personally been a bit 'meh' by this so haven't really reached for it since, but given the price I'm thinking I should give it a proper chance.

    1. I really want to try the BECCA highlighter, but I was a bit hesitant to as many people have said that its easily smashes which is very bizarre. And yes you definitely should cos I think for the price point you're getting value out of your money, and the shadows are not cheap feeling by any means, and I've got a lot of use out of mine due to the big colour range xx
